ALL TEAMS WILL BE GIVEN A QR CODE FOR YOUR JERSEYS ONCE YOU PAY AT CHECKIN. You will also be provided with two 12” and two 11” softballs.

BAT TESTING: ALL bats must Be tested and will receive a sticker. Teams will be able to check in a maximum of 25 bats with 20 passes. Bat testing will open 1 hour prior to your game and only two representatives per team are allowed to test.

BAT RULE: Only the new 240 stamp bats will be allowed.  Anyone caught using an unstamped bat will be an out and ejected from the game.  Anyone using an altered bat will be ejected from the tournament. Please cover this in your pre-game. We will be testing bats prior to the tournament.

BALL RULE: For this event, any PRO M or Classic M (besides the three listed below) may be used. ANY ball used must have the USSSA or GSL stamp.

NO STADIUM, HARD CORE OR ONYX BALLS ARE ALLOWED in USSSA tournament play.

11” balls will be available for purchase for $50 per dozen.

Trump Classic M 12” balls are available for purchase for $70/dozen, $40/half dozen or $7 per ball.

TIME LIMITS: 50 mins or 7 completed innings

ROSTER CHECKS WILL BE HANDLED BY THE UIC AND TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS ONLY!

RUN RULE

20 AFTER 3 NO FLIP FLOP

15 AFTER 4 NO FLIP FLOP

10 AFTER 5

A DHH (Designated Homerun Hitter) is allowed per gender and can be anyone in your lineup. The DHH’s will remain the same for the duration of the game. If the DHH ‘s are walked, it allows your team a free home run until that DHH comes back up in the lineup. If the DHH is removed from the lineup, the DHH will be forfeit until that player returns. Your DHH’s may be changed after each game. Please circle the DHH at the start of the game. Once the first pitch is thrown, you CANNOT go and circle the hitter. You will lose the DHH spot for those not circled.

HOME RUN RULE:

Pool play: DHH plus 3 home runs per gender, per team. All others are inning ending outs.

E bracket play: DHH plus one (1) home run per gender, per team. All others are inning ending outs.

D bracket play: DHH plus three (3) home runs per gender, per team.  All others are inning ending outs.

EQUALIZERS:

LV Shock Coed will be the visiting team in every game (besides pool play), including the championship, in bracket play.

BSS will be the visiting team in every game (besides pool play), including the championship, in bracket play.

COURTESY RUNNERS: One (1) courtesy runner per gender, per inning (one time) may be used. The courtesy runner can be any player on the roster.  If the courtesy runner is still on base at the time his/her turn to bat comes up, that spot in the batting order will be an out. After the courtesy runner rule, we put in effect: If a second runner of the inning or one not from the lineup enters the game and the defensive team completes a proper appeal before the next pitch, or illegal pitchers’ action, intentional walk or before all fielders have left fair territory, the runner will be declared out with no further action. The pitcher does NOT get an automatic runner.

An unlimited runner band can be purchased for $20.00. A male can run for a male and a female for a female ONLY! You cannot run for the runner. If you are stuck on base as the runner and your spot in the lineup comes up, you will be called out. You cannot sub for the unlimited runner once they obtain the base. Once again, you CANNOT run for a runner!

DUGOUT RULE: Only players, coaches and score keepers are allowed in the dugout.

ON DECK RULE: Only two on deck batters and 1 coach in each box, all others are to be in the dugout.

PROFANITY AND TAUNTING: This will not be tolerated and based on umpire discretion. This is your only warning. A director, UIC or umpire has the right to remove you from the field OR the park. Out of site, out of mind. This is your ONLY warning for the cursing as well.

BATTING: All teams may bat up to 12 players and any 10 players may play defense at any time. The batting lineup must alternate between male and female.

FIELDING: You can play 6 males and 4 females in the field but your catcher MUST be a male in this format!

PITCHING: The pitcher must toe the rubber. The pitched ball must arc at least 5 feet from the ground before it passes any part of home plate. The pitched ball shall not rise higher than 10 feet above the ground.

There will be NO grace time added prior to game start time * Teams must have line ups in and be ready for play 30 mins before scheduled game time * GAMES WILL START EARLY!

Except amended by the Nevada State By-Laws Tournament rules, all rules of United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA/GSL) will be used.
