Bat testing will open 1 hour prior to your game and only two representatives per team are allowed to test.
BAT RULE: Only the new 240 stamp bats will be allowed. Anyone caught using an unstamped bat will be an out and ejected from the game. Anyone using an altered bat will be ejected from the tournament. Please cover this in your pre-game. We will be testing bats prior to the tournament.
BALL RULE: The Tournament Director will supply two (2) game balls. (Any Classic M, Pro M or Hard Core ball is allowed with a USSSA or GSL Stamp)
TIME LIMITS: 65 mins or 7 completed innings
ROSTERS: All coaches must come to the check in table and sign their roster. If your players are NOT on your roster and you are roster checked, you will lose the game 0-7.
RUN RULE
20 AFTER 3 FLIP
15 AFTER 4 FLIP
10 AFTER 5
A DHH (Designated Homerun Hitter) is allowed and can be anyone in your lineup. The DHH will remain the same for the duration of the game. If the DHH are walked, it allows your team a free home run until that DHH comes back up in the lineup. If the DHH is removed from the lineup, the DHH will be forfeit until that player returns. Your DHH may be changed after each game. Please circle the DHH at the start of the game. Once the first pitch is thrown, you CANNOT go back and make any changes to your lineup. You will lose the DHH spot for the game if not noted prior to the first pitch.
HOME RUN RULE:
E vs E: DHH plus one (1) home run, per team. All others are inning ending outs.
D vs E: DHH plus three (3) home runs, per team. All others are inning ending outs.
HATS: A forward facing ball cap is the only hat allowed. No bucket hats. The only exceptions are fielders or pitchers who wear a mask and are allowed to wear a backwards hat underneath their mask.
COURTESY RUNNERS: One (1) courtesy runner per inning (one time) may be used. The courtesy runner can be any player on the roster. If the courtesy runner is still on base at the time his/her turn to bat comes up, that spot in the batting order will be an out. After the courtesy runner rule, we put in effect: If a second runner of the inning or one not from the lineup enters the game and the defensive team completes a proper appeal before the next pitch, or illegal pitchers’ action, intentional walk or before all fielders have left fair territory, the runner will be declared out with no further action. The pitcher does NOT get an automatic runner.
DUGOUT RULE: Only players, coaches and score keepers are allowed in the dugout.
ON DECK RULE: Only two on deck batters and 1 coach in each box, all others are to be in the dugout.
PROFANITY AND TAUNTING: This will not be tolerated and based on umpire discretion. This is your only warning. A director, UIC or umpire has the right to remove you from the field OR the park. Out of site, out of mind. This is your ONLY warning for the cursing as well.
BATTING: All teams may bat up to 12 players and any 10 players may play defense at any time.
10 PLAYER RULE Any team may start with 9 players, they must take an out in the 10th position and they may add the 10th player only at any time.
PITCHING: The pitcher must toe the rubber. The pitched ball must arc at least 5 feet from the ground before it passes any part of home plate. The pitched ball shall not rise higher than 10 feet above the ground.
There will be NO grace time added prior to game start time * Teams must have line ups in and be ready for play 30 mins before scheduled game time * GAMES WILL START EARLY!
Except amended by the Nevada State By-Laws Tournament rules, all rules of United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA/GSL) will be used.
