RULES
2024 Toys for Kids Mixed Rules
Check in will be at the pro shop. Please pay your tournament fee, homerun fee and for your runners.
Players must all drop off a brand-new toy or $10 donation to the front table. You will be given a wrist band in exchange. Please wear your wristband for the duration of the tournament.
Rosters checks will ONLY be allowed to check if a male player is C or higher and playing lowers OR if they do not have a wristband on. If either of these are true, the player will be removed from the game and/or tournament.
ALL bats must be tested PRIOR to your first game and all bats will receive a sticker. Bat testing will open at 7am. Any bat swung without a sticker becomes an illegal bat; the player is out, and the player is ejected from the tournament.
Only the new 240 stamp bats will be allowed. Anyone caught in the batter's box with an illegal bat will be ejected from the tournament.
Two (2) 12” and two (2) 11” game balls will be provided during team check in. (Classic M, Pro M or Hard-Core balls are allowed with a USSSA or GSL Stamp. NO STADIUM BALLS)
Pitchers must toe the rubber. Pitching height is 3 feet from release to 10 feet from the ground. Juking is allowed. Pitchers have 5 seconds after presenting to release the ball.
POOL PLAY RULES
Lower vs Lower or Upper vs Upper: 60-minute time limit
Lower vs Upper games will begin with a 50-minute time clock.
The Uppers team will become the home team.
Lowers team will be awarded 5 runs at the beginning of the game.
Uppers team will be allowed to score a maximum of 5 runs per inning, for the first 5 innings. After the 5th inning, an open inning will be declared, and the upper team will be allowed to score as many runs as needed.
IF the lowers team wishes to utilize a pitching screen, one will be provided to them. The screen will be set by the umpire and WILL NOT be able to be moved around during the inning.
IF a screen is used, the pitcher CANNOT be the first player to touch the ball. If the pitcher touches the ball, the ball is declared dead and the batter and any runners on base are awarded one base.
We will be playing by the 6/4 or 5/5 format, which means you must have at least 4 girls on the field at all times. Where they play doesn’t matter.
You must alternate between male and female until there are no females, which then you can bat your males consecutively.
All players MUST have a wristband on at all times. If you do not and are checked, you will be removed from the game. If you have a sub, you can use them. If you don’t, your spot becomes an out. Just wear the wristband!
0 HOMERUNS AND RUNNERS ARE GIVEN FOR THIS TOURNAMENT! THEY MUST BE PURCHASED!
Homerun and runner bands will be worn by the coach, and you will show AND tell the umpire prior to your game if you have a runner and/or homerun bands.
Anyone can run at any time. If a player’s spot in the lineup comes up to bat and they are on base, you can sub them and switch them out.
