USSSA CASH GRAB WOMEN'S RULES

USSSA CASH BASH WOMEN’S RULES

BAT TESTING: ALL bats must be tested and will receive a sticker. Teams will be able to check in a maximum of 25 bats with 20 passes. Bat testing will open 1 hour prior to your game and only two representatives per team are allowed to test. A failed bat will be kept by the tournament directors and can be kept up AFTER your team either wins the tournament OR your team is eliminated.

BAT RULE: Only the new 240 stamp bats will be allowed.  Anyone caught using an unstamped bat will be an out and ejected from the game.  Anyone using an altered bat will be ejected from the tournament. Please cover this in your pre-game.

BALL RULE: For this event, Classic W or USSSA/GSL stamped ball (besides the three listed below) may be used. ANY ball used must have the USSSA or GSL stamp.

NO STADIUM, HARD CORE OR ONYX BALLS ARE ALLOWED in USSSA tournament play.

Managers will be provided with two (2) balls upon check-in.

Balls are available for purchase for $70/dozen, $40/half dozen or $7 per ball.

TIME LIMITS: 50 mins or 7 completed innings

ROSTER CHECKS WILL BE DONE BY TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS AND UIC ONLY!

EQUALIZER

When playing against BWA or Stay Humble, an equalizer of a runner starting on 2nd base for ALL innings will be enforced, including extra innings. There will be a coin flip for all games, except the Championship game. In the Championship game, the undefeated team will become the home team, even if the equalizer is used.

RUN RULE

20 AFTER 3, FLIP FLOP AFTER 2.

15 AFTER 4, FLIP FLOP AFTER 3

10 AFTER 5, FLIP FLOP AFTER 4

If you want to purchase the DHH and unlimited runner band, it will be a total of $20.00.

HOME RUN RULE:

DHH plus five (5) home runs, per team. All others are inning ending outs.

A DHH (Designated Homerun Hitter) is available to be purchased for $20.00. It can be anyone in your lineup. The DHH will remain the same for the duration of the game. If the DHH is walked, it allows your team a free home run until that DHH comes back up in the lineup. If the DHH is removed from the lineup, the DHH will be forfeit until that player returns. Your DHH may be changed after each game. Please circle the DHH at the start of the game. Once the first pitch is thrown, you CANNOT go back and make any changes to your lineup. You will lose the DHH spot for the game if not noted prior to the first pitch.

COURTESY RUNNERS: One (1) courtesy runner per inning (one time) may be used. The courtesy runner can be any player on the roster.  If the courtesy runner is still on base at the time his/her turn to bat comes up, that spot in the batting order will be an out. After the courtesy runner rule, we put in effect: If a second runner of the inning or one not from the lineup enters the game and the defensive team completes a proper appeal before the next pitch, or illegal pitchers’ action, intentional walk or before all fielders have left fair territory, the runner will be declared out with no further action. The pitcher does NOT get an automatic runner.

An unlimited runner (NOT A RABBIT) band can be purchased for $20.00. You cannot run for the runner. If you are stuck on base as the runner and your spot in the lineup comes up, you will be called out. You cannot sub for the unlimited runner once they obtain the base. Once again, you CANNOT run for a runner!

DUGOUT RULE: Only players, coaches and score keepers are allowed in the dugout.

ON DECK RULE: Only two on deck batters and 1 coach in each box, all others are to be in the dugout.

PROFANITY AND TAUNTING: This will not be tolerated and based on umpire discretion. This is your only warning. A director, UIC or umpire has the right to remove you from the field OR the park. Out of site, out of mind. This is your ONLY warning for the cursing as well.

BAT FLIPS: No bat flips OF any kind will be tolerated. This is your only warning you will get. It is up to the umpire to determine what they feel as what qualifies as a bat flip!

BATTING: All teams may bat up to 12 players and 10 players may play defense at any time.

10 PLAYER RULE Any team may start with 9 players, they must take an out in the 10th position and they may add the 10th player only at any time.

PITCHING: The pitcher must toe the rubber. The pitched ball must arc at least 3 feet after leaving the pitcher’s hand and before it passes any part of home plate. The pitched ball shall not rise higher than 10 feet above the ground.

There will be NO grace time added prior to game start time * Teams must have line ups in and be ready for play 30 mins before scheduled game time * GAMES WILL START EARLY!

Except amended by the Nevada State By-Laws Tournament rules, all rules of United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA/GSL) will be used.
